Ship Tours, Awards and more
Council Members were privileged to have special tours of Navy ships visiting Gloucester and Boston this Summer. In July,
your Board held a informal Hail and Farewell for CDR Tim Cooper, outgoing C.O., USS CONSTITUTION, and incoming CDR Matt Bonner.
See the July BOSUN'S PIPE for information. Awards were presented to several Coast Guard Enlisted Persons of the Year and the
District Reserve EPOY. Navy Birthday and Annual Meeting Luncheon in October was treated to remarks by a retired Marine who later
became a Navy SEAL.
Meetings with Congressmen: council VP Tomi Olson, with other members
will meet again with Congressmen (and/or staff) Tsongas, Lynch, McGovern, Tierney, Frank, Capuano and Sen. Kerry to discuss issues of concern to Navy League.

Many awards given - Coast Guard EPOY and Reserve EPOY, NROTCs, PACE Awards to CONSTITUTION crew, etal.
16 Oct was Navy Birthday Dinner with a retired Navy SEAL officer. 2 Dec was the Sea Services Ball.
4 Dec was the TOYS FOR TOTS Brunch. We were able to contribute $4000 plus toys and games to the Marine Program.
