The U. S. Navy Birthday Annual Meeting and Dinner
the Massachusetts Bay Council, Navy League of the United States
Date: Friday, October 17, 2008
Place: Hanscom Air Force Base, Minute Man Club (former Officers' Club)
Times: 6:30PM Attitude adjustment and Social Hour. Cheese and crackers. Cash Bar (tickets for two drinks donated by Naval Academy Alumni)
7:30 PM Plated Dinner: choice of Sliced Roast Beef or Baked Scrod
Cost: $37.50 per person. Dress: Military Service Dress; Civilian business
Honored Guest: Navy Flag Officer invited
Annual Meeting: Report of the Nominating Committee and Election of Officers and Directors
Access to Hanscom Air Force Base: All must have a picture ID (License or other). From South: Take Exit # 30 off Rte 95/128 to Route 2A North. Pass the National Park Service Visitor Center and the Paul Revere Capture Site (on your right) and the entrance to Hanscom on your right. Turn right and bear right to the Air Force Gate. Have ID ready. Continue to the end of the road (P-40 fighter) and turn left. Go one block (jet fighter and flags) and take a right (continue past the Base Service Station on your left), through the traffic lights up a hill and take a left (first left after traffic lights) and you will come to the "Minute Man Club". From North: take Exit #31B, Rt. 4-225 West. About 0.3 mi., take right loop to make a left onto Hartwell Ave. to gate. Have ID ready. Minuteman Club on right. (Note: afternoon traffic can be slow on Rte 95/128). Following the event, all must exit via Hartwell Avenue gate.
